Frank is also the author of the novel Echoes of Distant Thunder (Veteran). The focus of Frank's program is on his historical research and writing process. His books are works of historical fiction with all of his characters Michigan natives.
A lifelong resident of Michigan, Frank has spent many enjoyable hours sailing on the Great Lakes and flying over them as a private pilot. He belongs to the Civil War reenactor group Battery D first Michigan Light Artillery where he is a gun corporal. He and his wife of 27 years, Maurine, live in the northern Michigan countryside with their three terriers where they grow apples, raspberries and Saskatoons. Frank is the longtime host of Repose, Saturday evenings on IPR.
BPL has copies of Brotherhood of Iron available for purchase at $20 each leading up to the program. We also have a copy that can be checked out.
