Our collection includes over 20,000 items for children & adults including books, large print, audio books, and DVDs.  The library also participates in MeL, a statewide interlibrary loan program to help meet all your information needs.  The loan period is three weeks for most materials, and one week for DVDs.

The Benzonia Public Library on-line catalog is available for your use from any Internet capable computer in the library, at home, or anywhere.  There are two primary capabilities: the catalog and your library account. If you need help, please don’t hesitate to ask a staff member for assistance.

UPDATING YOUR ACCOUNT: Please bring your drivers license or ID the next time you come to BPL so we can update your account. NOTE: OverDrive and MeL interlibrary loans only work with active accounts. 

​The Benzonia Public Library catalog system has the ability to send notices via text or email, about expiring accounts, past due items, and reserved items that are available for pickup.

    • This is the catalog search function.

    • This is your account information.

  YOU WILL NEED TO LOG INTO YOUR ACCOUNT, o reserve items, request MeL items, and borrow from OverDrive Up North Digital Collection.
​YOUR ACCOUNT OVERVIEW
The catalog maintains an account for each member. Many features and functions are available including:
· view items checked out and their status
· renew items and reserve items
· balance due
· designate a vacation delay so you won’t miss your turn
· designate how you wish to be contacted
 
Logging In:
Enter your BPL Library Card Number and phone number or password in the fields in the upper right corner of the catalog welcome/search page. Click the “My Account” button. There will be tabs allowing you to access different sections of your account information. Please look at each section to select your preferences.
 
SEARCHING THE CATALOG:
 Search All Fields: To use this method, simply type a word,
words, or phrase into the "Search" blank at the top of the screen.
Then either push the Enter key on your keyboard, or click GO. Click on the item to see more information and to place a reserve on it.
HINT: Click on a heading (title, author, date, etc.) to sort the list, click again to sort in reverse order.
What’s Hot: Just click on the “What’s New” and select what you want to find and the time frame.
