Listening Clarity Technology
Listen with Heightened Clarity and Ease at BPL Programs!
With a recent investment in listening clarity technology, we are excited to better serve folks who experience frustration due to hearing loss or challenging acoustics at BPL events. We now offer devices that give words and music more clarity and reduced background noise. Thanks to grants awarded from two organizations, the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians and the Mid-Michigan Library League, BPL hearing technology is available for use during our programs! The grants covered the cost to purchase a mobile multi-channel transmitter, receivers, microphones, headsets, neckloops and earbuds -- components that customize and maintain the listening system.
For the entire listening audience we have purchased a much needed portable sound-field system with lapel microphones. We could not be more grateful to these organizations for their generosity and support of Benzonia Public Library and our community. We would also like to thank Cindy Shapiro at Communication Access Solutions, for all her time, patience and knowledge to ensure we purchase the equipment best suited to our patrons needs.
