Board of Trustee Meetings
are held the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 4:00 pm in the library building. Meetings are open to the public. PLEASE NOTE: There will be no meetings in July and August! |

Helen Dewey-Beloved Board Member
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that our dear friend and Library Board member, Helen Dewey, passed away September 7th after battling metastatic breast cancer. Helen was a champion of many causes, a true fighter for truth, information, kindness, and equality. She was hard working, dedicated, and always teaching and guiding. We are so grateful for all she has shared with us over the years. Helen will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. A celebration of life was held at the First Congregational UCC of Benzonia on September 17. |

Roxane Miner was a guiding light

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that beloved library board member Roxane Miner passed away in the early hours of January 30, 2022, peacefully and comfortably, at Munson Medical Center.
She will be greatly missed. Roxane guided Benzonia Public Library for many years. She had served as library director, Friend of the library, and most recently as President of the Library Board of Trustees. We are so grateful for all those years of service Roxane dedicated to the library. We will work to honor this legacy by striving to implement her many goals and aspirations for Benzonia Public Library. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
