Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers help in so many ways!

Volunteers can help the BPL obtain additional funding by:

• Researching and writing grants

Volunteers help keep us organized by:

• Shelving items being returned by Patrons and other libraries
• Shelf reading to make sure everything is neat and where it's supposed to be

Volunteers keep our Interlibrary loan materials (MeL) flowing smoothly by processing items: 

• Requested by Patrons at other libraries
• Being returned to other libraries
• Coming in for our Patrons to use

Volunteers assist with donations:

• Sorting, cleaning, and boxing donated materials for the book sales

Volunteers are the ones that keep our Programs, Activities and Fundraisers going by contributing time toward:

• Posting flyers for events and activities
• Providing refreshments for a variety of events
• Staffing book and puzzle sales
• Working events such as the Ice Cream Social and Holiday Party
• Helping with Craft and Summer Reading Activities
