I agree to abide by borrowing policies outlined below and to pay promptly all fines charged against me for the damage or loss of borrowed library materials. I will give immediate notice of any change of address or contact information. Please read carefully before agreeing.
I understand that my contact information may be used by the Library to contact me regarding Library activities and events.
The Benzonia Public Library is pleased to provide library services and borrowing privileges to area residents and visitors. In order to provide the best selection of materials for our many users, the library is conscientious about due dates. The loan period for most items is 3 weeks. We offer renewal by telephone or in person. If you have Internet access, you may also set up an account from the Catalog link on our web site www.benzonialibrary.org and renew books online. As long as there is no one waiting for the item you are renewing, you will be able to extend the loan period and keep the book for an additional 3 weeks.
Overdue fees are $.10/ day. In addition, you will be charged $.50 per mailing if the library needs to notify you by mail to remind you that you have items that are two or more weeks overdue.
There is a drop box by the elevator entrance. Items may be returned there regardless of the library’s open hours.
Keeping materials that belong to the library is a violation of Michigan Compiled Law (MCL750.391). Borrowers will be charged for replacing items that are not returned within six weeks of the due date. The library reserves the right to put your library account into collections.
The staff of the Benzonia Public Library is always willing to work with you to keep both our holdings and your record accurate. Please contact us if you think your record is inaccurate.
